ALDEBARAN ABEL (6) is first up for five months since he was outclassed in the Breeders Crown final but he placed in a heat of that series prior. Much better placed and was readied with a trial placing. A first-up win is on the cards. PIESRIDINGSHOTGUN (1) has been competitive of late and kept the ball rolling last time when fourth from the back row at Ballarat. Led from wider than this for a close second here two back. Had won three of his other four tries at this venue and he gets the ace draw. TE AMO (5) is flying at present with two successive wins to his name, most recently here five weeks ago. Kept up to the mark with a trial and could keep the ball rolling. NIGHT FLIGHT (2) draws well and must be considered having finished third at Ballarat a week ago to follow a Geelong win.
