Meets a similar line up and is a strong winning hope. IRK MCGLURK (8) has been racing in great heart and wasn't disgraced last time when runner-up at this track over 1720m, beaten 2 metres after coming from a long way back then working into the race strongly prior to cornering. Gets a soft run on the inside of the second line but may need luck at some point. Recent efforts are good enough to win a race of this calibre. SURFIN AT MIDNIGHT (3) is heading the right way, improving last time out to finish second at Parkes over 1660m. Genuine threat. ULTIMATE COOKIE (9) is in the mix following a respectable third at her most recent appearance over 1660m at Parkes.
