Blizzard has announced big changes for Overwatch in 2026. The game will introduce a major storyline called Reign of the Talon, featuring five new heroes in the first season and one new hero per season. So far, we’ve been introduced to the following heroes:

• Specialist - eliminating an enemy temporarily increases reload speed.

• Recon - detect enemies below half health through walls after damaging them

While support heroes can be grouped into:

• Tacticians - gain excess ultimate charge, which carries over after using the ultimate ability.

• Medics - healing allies with your weapon also heals you.

• Survivors - using a movement ability activates passive health regeneration.

Finally, players can equip perks during a match to upgrade equipment and turn the tide of battle. Early on, only minor perks will be available, while major perks become active later in the game to increase upgrades and add game-changing abilities or buffs.
