We kick off Caulfield Cup day with a tricky 3yo race. Going for the less exposed form with SULEK (9) coming off a smart maiden win at Sandown Hillside last time out. He showed a sharp turn of foot there to put the race away and should get a good run midfield here. Can measure up. It's hard to knock what BACASH (5) is doing. He tried hard at Moonee Valley two back behind the spruik horse Rosberg, giving another huge sight at Sandown Hillside last time when just caught by Navy Pilot, who was well backed and ran a credible race in last week's G1 Caulfield Guineas. He'll land on speed and go close once more. CALL DA VINCI (4) resumes. He really flourished in Queensland over the Winter, third to Cool Archie in the G2 BRC Sires & G1 JJ Atkins. Have to respect that. KALEO (2) resumes. His win here at start two was good and he can be excused in Queensland on the heavy track. No surprise to see a good run. WISE INLAW (6) is going well and should be right there again.
