THE MYTEE DUCK (6) was out of the placings for the first time when fifth at Forbes last start but did draw poorly. Had finished top-three in his other four starts, all of them at this circuit and distance, including a debut win from this barrier and a couple of placings during the Gold Crown series. Can bounce back. STARBASE (2) is racing well with five top-four finishes in succession, the latest effort a second at this circuit and distance. No excuses from this lower draw so he is capable of adding to the good recent form. KARINYA JEE (1) draws much better than he did on debut so looking for big improvement. MISTER MANFREDI (5) is a colt by Tintin In America on debut for the Wayne Watterson yard. Has shown enough at the trials to expect a competitive debut.
