Tackling a more suitable race here so he is ready to return to the winners' list. EL FORTRESS (2) returns from a break of four-and-a-half months. Genuine performer last prep whose most recent appearance resulted in a sixth over 1400m at Rockhampton. Finds the right race to launch another bright campaign. SPIRIT OF MAC (3) drifted well back last start before winding up strongly to finish third, beaten 1.1 lengths, over 1050m at this track. Among the leading chances again. LUCKY LASS (7) hit the frame two starts ago at Toowoomba but ran below par last time when sixth and beaten 6 lengths over 1200m at Gold Coast. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
