POLYMNIA (4) is a handy Sydney mare who has always hinted at significant ability, though her winning strike rate remains a query. Looks the one to beat with Lloyd taking back over. MATING CALL (3) is clearly the leading local hope. She was terrific in the Auraria Stakes two starts back before chasing strongly behind Panova in the Australasian Oaks here a fortnight ago. Expect her to be right in the finish again. BRAVE MISS (5) has worked home well in both runs this prep, most recently when narrowly beaten in the QOTS Stakes here two weeks ago. She's already proven at the trip and looks set to peak third-up. MAISY (9) profiles similarly after finishing alongside Brave Miss last start. A genuine tempo would suit her. AUTUMN SLIDE (11) has built nicely into the campaign and should appreciate the rise in distance. Pike taking over from a good draw is a positive.
