BLACK GEMSTONE (9) was successful last start by 17 metres in a nice return to form at this track over 1780m. Draws out a little on the second line and may need luck at some point. Meets a similar line up so she can make it two on the bounce. PLAYING FOR KEEPS (3) is looming as a real threat after a better effort last start, finishing third at this track over 1780m. MAJOR ARK (7) last appeared when ninth over 1720m at Dubbo six months ago. Expect a better effort to kick off this prep.
