Introduction to League of Legends EMEA Championship 2026 Versus Betting
The League of Legends EMEA Championship 2026 Versus tournament is a League of Legends (LoL) event organised by Riot Games, which marks the start of the 2026 League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) season.
This will be the first year with a new format for the LEC season, with the LEC Versus tournament replacing the Winter Split. 10 LEC partner teams, along with 2 EMEA Regional League (ERL) teams, will compete over a round-robin regular season stage. The best teams qualify for the playoffs to determine the champions. The winner of the tournament will automatically qualify for the 2026 First Stand tournament, a cross-regional LoL competition.
When is LEC 2026 Versus?
The LEC Versus begins on 17 January, while the Grand Final will be held on 1 March. The event is held at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany.

17 January-8 February - Regular Season
The group stage begins in January, with each team competing in a single round robin format. Each team plays a single match against all other teams in the tournament. These are played to the best of 1, so each team plays 11 matches in total. The top 8 teams progress to the playoffs.
16 February-1 March - Playoffs
The top 8 teams from the regular season enter the playoffs, which begin in mid-February. The playoffs use a double-elimination bracket, meaning teams have to lose twice before they’re eliminated. All matches during this stage will use the Fearless Draft, but rounds 1 and 2 are played to the best of 3 games, while all others are played to the best of 5.
