What is the WC Qualification UEFA?
UEFA has 16 qualifying slots for the 2026 international soccer cup. During the UEFA qualifiers, international teams need to progress through qualifying rounds before they can earn the right to play in the international football tournament.
Format & Schedule of the UEFA Qualifiers
European qualifiers run between March 2025 and March 2026.
Teams in UEFA were drawn into 12 groups of either 4 or 5 teams. Groups G-L featured 5 teams and played their group stage between 21 March and 10 June. Meanwhile, groups A-F feature 4 teams and will play their matches between 4 September and 18 November.
The winning team of each group automatically qualifies, while the runners-up and 4 best-ranked UEFA Nations League group winners will compete in play-offs for 4 additional qualifying spots.
