The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Chiefs in last year’s Super Bowl, becoming Super Bowl champions for the second time in eight years.

The Patriots and Seahawks both reached the Super Bowl after being among the best teams during the regular season. In his first year as New England’s head coach, Mike Vrabel led the Patriots to a 14-3 record, thanks to a breakout season by second-year quarterback Drake Maye and a supporting cast that includes running back Rhamondre Stevenson. The Patriots were also aided by a top-notch defense that gave up just two touchdowns across their three playoff games, including a 10-7 win over the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game.
The Seahawks also enjoyed a 14-3 season behind strong seasons from quarterback Sam Darnold and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Since they earned the top seed in the NFC playoffs, the Seahawks hosted the NFC Championship Game, with that home-field advantage coming in handy in a close 31-27 win over the Los Angeles Rams. On the heels of a nine-game winning streak, the Seahawks are the betting favorite in the Super Bowl.
