What is a Cash Out on Stake Sportsbook?
The cash out feature allows you to take a return on a bet before the event has finished. For example, if you’ve placed a bet on Chelsea to beat Manchester United in the Premier League and they’re 2-0 up at halftime, you can cash out your bet. This will give you your winnings early, with the payout based on the current market prices.
Cash out is available across almost all sports, and you can find it by opening the My Bets page at any point. If cashout is available, the value will be shown next to the cashout option. Use it to guarantee a profit when you’re winning or minimise losses on a losing bet.
When Can You Perform a Cash Out?
You can cash out your bet at any time, provided the cashout button is shown next to your bet on the My Bets page. Stake allows you to cash out both pre-match and live bets, although restrictions do apply.
The 100% cash out feature allows you to cancel your pre-match bet and receive the full stake back, provided the odds haven’t changed. This is a great option for those times when you place a bet by accident or change your mind shortly after placing. A wide range of pre-match sports and betting markets are covered by the 100% cashout feature, including outright bets. However, it isn’t available on all options, including horse racing bets and same game multi bets.
Cashing out live bets is possible, too, but only when live betting is offered on that event. What’s more, in-play cash out won’t be available if betting is currently suspended for that market. More details on when cash out is available can be found in our sportsbook policies.
How to Cash Out on a Sports Bet?
Cash out your sports bet by following these steps:
Log into your Stake.com account and select the My Bets option from your account menu.
On the active bets tab, you’ll see all your current active bets.
Where the cashout option is shown next to your bet, you’ll also see the value.
Select the cashout button twice to verify your cashout request and receive the value after a short delay.
Why is Cash Out Unsuccessful?

Betting on the event or market is currently suspended. While an event is in-play, a market suspension may occur due to match events such as goals or points being scored.
Odds have changed - Time delays are applied when cashing out, and if the odds change during this time, your cashout may fail.
No live coverage - While you can cash out live bets, not all events will be available for live betting. If no live odds are offered, you won’t be able to cash out while the event is in-play.
