KSW Betting Odds & Lines - Bet on MMA Online

Throughout the year, top-level fighters in MMA step into the cage to determine the champions of the sport. KSW is one of the biggest MMA promotions in Europe, and you can bet on MMA and enjoy all the action right here at Stake Sportsbook.

What is KSW?

Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki (Martial Arts Confrontation), better known just as KSW, is a Polish mixed martial arts organisation which is one of the biggest in Europe. It features talented MMA fighters from all over the world and includes seven weight divisions of men’s fighters, from bantamweight all the way up to heavyweight.

Just like other MMA promotions such as the UFC, Oktagon, PFL, and Cage Warriors, KSW arranges fights between its fighters, who then go head-to-head inside the cage to determine a winner. By winning fights in exciting matchups, fighters improve their rankings, and with enough wins, they can earn a shot at the division title.

Difference Between KSW & UFC

Although KSW and the UFC are both MMA promotions, there are a few key differences to be aware of:

  • Location: KSW is based in Poland, and all of its events so far have been held in Europe, while UFC events are mostly held in the US but also take place around the world.

  • Production style: Inspired by classic MMA promotions like Pride FC, KSW events offer high production value with elaborate fighter entrances.

  • Tournaments: KSW is known for its 4 and 8-man tournaments, compared to the UFC’s standard single matches.

History of the KSW

KSW began in 2004, not long after hotel manager Martin Lewandowski met sports exposition organiser Maciej Kawulski. The two businessmen shared a common interest, martial arts, and together they set out to establish Poland’s biggest mixed martial arts promotion.

The very first KSW event, KSW I: Konfrontacja, was held on 27 February 2004. Since then, there have been over 100 events, and although the promotion is based in Poland, they have been held all over Europe, including France, Ireland, the UK and the Czech Republic.

In 2017, KSW beat the record for the largest live attendance at martial arts events in Europe, with 57,776 fans watching KSW 39. The promotion has also consistently produced top fighters, many of whom have gone on to fight in the UFC, such as Jan Błachowicz and Dricus du Plessis.

In 2022, the fight promotion signed a partnership with XTB, a major Polish fintech company, and as a result, KSW events are now named XTB KSW. The KSW federation introduced its own Hall of Fame in 2023, which would recognise top fighters each year, along with those working behind the scenes to help the organisation grow. The first addition to the KSW Hall of Fame was former KSW commentator and the first KSW tournament champion Łukasz "Juras" Jurkowski.

Format & Schedule of KSW

KSW is best known for its four-man and eight-man tournaments, which are a huge hit with fight enthusiasts. Compared to some other promotions, such as the UFC, it doesn’t hold many events throughout the year. However, its major events tend to be bigger and stacked with the best fighters in each division.

KSW & MMA Betting Tips, Predictions & Strategies

  1. Styles make fights - When betting on MMA and KSW, it’s important to remember that fighting styles make fights. Although most fighters today are more well-rounded than ever, many still struggle against a certain fighting style while excelling against others. Check their records and see which fighters they’ve lost to or struggled against.

  2. Research your bets - Every bet you place should be carefully researched. You can find a lot of detailed statistics online using sites like Tapology, and many KSW fights can be watched online for free too, so you can see how fighters have performed in the past. Use this to make your picks.

  3. Keep things simple - You don’t have to bet on every fight of the event, and while parlays can be fun, they’re risky. If you want to improve your chances of winning, it makes more sense to place a few highly researched bets than to place as many bets as possible. Don’t get carried away, and ensure you manage your bankroll carefully. Use a betting system if you find it helps.

  4. Check out our picks and predictions - Our sports blog features the latest expert opinions and analysis of upcoming fights, including major UFC events. Make sure you have a read before making your bets.
