Stake’s newest feature, Stake Shield, is now live on site.

Stake Shield lets you protect your multi against a selected number of losing legs in return for a slightly reduced fixed payout — giving you added safety on your bet.

Terms and Conditions

• When activated, Stake Shield will protect a multi bet to a certain number of losing legs (chosen by the user) at the cost of a reduced payout on the bet for each extra leg of protection selected.

• The payout on a Stake Shield bet is a fixed figure based on the number of legs protected - it does not vary based on which legs of the multi win or lose.

• If all selections in a Stake Shield bet are winners, the payout and odds will remain as the fixed amount shown at the time of bet placement based on the number of legs protected, with the exception being in the event of a void leg in the Stake Shield bet.

• If there is a leg voided within a Stake Shield bet, the odds of the bet will be recalculated to account for the removal of the odds of the leg that was voided. If this recalculated value is below 1.01, the bet in question will be voided.

• If there’s a leg that is voided in a Stake Shield bet before the required number of legs win for the bet to be a winner, then the system will wait to recalculate the odds until the bet overall is a winning one.

• If the required number of legs win in a Stake Shield bet prior to any other legs being voided, the bet will be settled as a winner at the original odds regardless of whether any voids occur on remaining legs after the win has been confirmed.

• If a market included in a Stake Shield bet has dead heat rules applied or the potential for a split win, then the payout on the Stake Shield be will be adjusted in line with said settlement.

• Live selections cannot be included in Stake Shield bets

• Same Game Multis cannot be included in Stake Shield bets

• Racing and Player Props selections cannot be included in Stake Shield bets

• Outrights cannot be included in Stake Shield bets

• Cashout is not available on Stake Shield bets

• For any given Stake Shield bet, the chosen protection level odds must exceed 1.01
