LINCOLN WAVE (4) drew a wide gate last start and was easily accounted for, beaten 40 metres into eighth at this track over 2700m. This should be an easier assignment so he is a major player. SOCIAL DISTANCING (5) made it two in succession last start when he got the cash by 2.75 metres over 1700m at this track. This doesn't look as hard so he is sure to prove tough to beat. MICK KONSTANTIN (1) has been thereabouts of late and is a great chance to break through. Good effort last time out when he finished fifth at this track over 2200m. MELTON MOGUL (8) cannot be left out after recording a sequence of three top-three finishes, the latest at Manawatu three weeks ago.
