BIG MAKO (8) was impressive last time, posting a slick 22.58 when second behind Lanky Larry and clocking a new PB this course and distance. Strong run latest and looks a key chance on that form. ASTON MONARCHY (5) lines up here off a comfortable win at Ballarat after jumping from box 5 (22.21). Will need some luck early after drawing a tricky box here. Comes through a solid form race last start. Makes plenty of appeal on the back of that last-start win. PAW MADDOX (2) was out of the money here last time out but can bounce back.
