JOLSON AL (7) was well fancied last start when leading and being gunned down over 1100m at Northam last start. A better draw this time should suit him better as should coming back to the 1000m journey. He's knocking on the door of a maiden win and this presents as a golden opportunity. LONG LAUGH (2) will be fitter for two trials coming into this and was placed on debut last campaign. The inside draw is a big tick and he did tackle a $50k maiden before the break. Has shown glimpses of ability on the way through and appears the main danger. BLATANT VIOLATION (8) trialled well going into his debut but didn't fire a shot when beaten a long way. The winner there is a nice horse on the rise and his trials suggested he was better than what he showed there. Can improve with that run under his belt. CAWARRA (10) can resume on a promising note. BILLIE (9) is third-up now and can improve.
