KARBINE (5) scored back-to-back wins at Ballarat before doing some early work and then boxing on to be beaten 6 metres last week. Owns a good record at this venue so could return to winning form. ADELAIDE RED (11) scored fresh at Maryborough then headed north for a midfield finish in the NSW Oaks last time. Tough draw but she drops in grade and did land a Group 1 win in the Breeders Crown final last season so is capable. WATCH AND ACT (3) is heading the right way, placing in his last three outings. Came from a similar barrier to miss narrowly here last week. Could go one better. WITH APLOMB (12) bombed the start last time but came from this row for back-to-back wins prior so is good enough with her A-game.
